THE MULTI-PURPOSE USE OF EYE PRIMER
Do we really need or benefit from applying an eye primer?
In short - yes! Not only does it provide staying power for your eyeshadow, we would like to introduce a few other tried and tested benefits.
Hello Beauty UK Eye Prime FX
Thank you @tarasova_blog for the beautiful image!
Beauty UK Eye Prime FX is a creamy emulsion in an off-white colour. The purpose of this little gem is to prep your skin ready for makeup. By doing this, you will improve the quality of your eyeshadow coverage and lengthen the time your eye makeup lasts! You really will notice the difference.
Will applying Eye Primer replace a base?
The basic principle of applying a base is also prepping your eyelids and providing a smooth, even canvas for eyeshadow. Using a light coverage of the cream base not only acts the same as a colour intensifier (the colour of eyeshadow powder pops out against the white background) but it also prevents a 'caked' effect from the layering of a powder base.
Why use an Eye Primer?
- Primer creates a smooth surface which makes it alot easier to apply eyeshadow. It also provides a good blending canvas, especially when applying eyeshadow right across the lids and up to the eyebrows. It will help keep your eyeshadow in place.
- Evens out skin tone. Primer acts as a concealer for the lids. It will even out imperfections such as darkness or visible veins.
- Intensifying the colour pay-off of your eyeshadow. Essentially acting as white canvas, the primer works with your eyeshadow and the colour pigments look brighter and more vibrant.
- Primer acts as a 'fixative' to hold your eyeshadow in place for longer. This is especially important when you are exposed to heat (think summer days or hot nightclubs!). It will hold your eye makeup in place and prevent it slipping or smudging.
How to apply?
You can apply directly to the eyelids using the doe foot applicator and blend/smooth across your full eyelid with your finger or favourite concealer brush. Leave the primer to dry for a few minutes then you are ready to start applying your eyeshadow. A quick and easy addition to your makeup routine! It’s that simple!
